In reality, I am a fashion student on a serious budget. I work part time so I can afford to intern over the summer, and it is so hard to resist everything I see in all the monthly magazines. My mom is probably so sick and tired of the ripped pages I leave on her desk. My last ripped page was from ELLE Magazine, a BEBE holiday ad featured an insane purple leather dress...and I really want it. The fact is, so many fashionistas feel like they need to be label whores. I truly believe that you cannot buy style, especially girls with daddy's credit card. It takes a true creative eye to be able to walk into a Good Will and find something amazing. I shop sales and I never expect vintage Chanel to actually be mine, but it is so nice to dream.
The point of this post is to make sure that you know that this Holiday season, you can be best dressed in an outfit from Forever 21 or an outfit carefully selected from Louis Vuitton's latest collection. I understand the lusting over those new Louboutins and that Moschino clutch, but fashion does not have to be over a thousand dollars. My closest girlfriend all have unique styles, teaching me how to shop vintage and giving me new websites to search through. It is always fun to be inspired by new things, and at the end up the day, no one can ever afford to wear designer items season after season. This Christmas remember, fashion is always important, but nobody is going to care about the label at the end of the day.
