Taking a quick break from writing a fashion blog, I really felt that it was necessary to share with you the amazing SCAD Museum of Art. I was lucky enough to be hired as a guest services employee back in October of 2011. I was just a Sophomore at SCAD, looking for a job to kill time and make a little extra money to buy some shoes every now and then. After a long search, I saw that the new SCAD Museum was hiring. I went in for an interview and I've been working there ever since. This museum has been so good to me. With people like Andre Leon Talley, Walter Evans and Ralph Rucci wandering through the exhibits, this has been the ultimate experience for me as a fashion student. The world famous Little Black Dress exhibition is displayed in the museum (until January 27th), with vintage Chanel, Marc Jacobs and even some of my fashion professors. This museum not only exhibits fashion, but african american works of art, fibers pieces and an insane new painting that greets visitors when they enter. My pictures are only sneak peaks of what the SCAD MOA has in store. I encourage you to take a future trip down to Savannah, Georgia and check out this amazing building that is such a great part of my school.
