I am often asked what skin and beauty products I use and I knew that the first blog post of 2014 needed to be dedicated to my favorite products.
After losing 30lbs on a major diet and working hard every day to improve other aspects of myself, I am finally at a place where I am truly happy with who I am in every single way. My skin, hair and beauty care routines stay consistent and I have three rules I believe every single person should follow.
Rule #1
Wash your face every single night before bed
I don't care how late you were out and how tired you are, those wrinkles won't either in about ten years. As dramatic as I sound, my great family genes prove that a nightly skin care routine goes a seriously long (and botox free) way.
Rule #2
Remove your chipped manicure ASAP
Nothing gets on my nerves more than a horrible manicure. I keep nail polish remover wipes in every bag I own just in case my red polish starts to peel off. When only 8 of your 10 fingers are colorful it's time to take it all off.
Rule #3
Moisturize
After struggling with my skin as a teenager, I realized that taking care of my face meant not only washing and treating but moisturizing as well. Moisturizer helps treat sun damage (for all my Miami friends who love to tan) and it helps prevent wrinkles in the long run.
Keep these 8 items with you at all times:
Clean Facewash & Moisturizer - Both are absolute must haves. Use twice a day, every day.
Flat Iron - My life saver on a daily basis thanks to the curly hair I was born with.
Eye Makeup Remover Pads - Easy to use and super efficient when it comes to stubborn mascara.
Aquaphor - Your new best friend. Goodbye, Chapstick!
Yes to Cucumbers Face Wipes - For the extra clean feeling before you get into bed at night.
Garnier Flat Iron Protection - For those of you who iron your hair every single day, a hair saver I swear by.
Under Eye Cream - It helps prevent wrinkles and hides puffy bags, amazing for those of you who love eye makeup as much as I do!
