First on the list was Domino Park.
It's exactly what it sounds like, a park dedicated to the game of Dominos. A classic Calle Ocho attraction, we "gringas" certainly stood out like sore thumbs. Even though we are in late November and well into the season of "Not Summer", the temperature was still in the mid-eighties which called for some cool refreshments. So, we headed across the street from the park to check out a famous little ice cream shop known as "Azucar" which translates to "Sugar". With creative flavors such as 'Abuela Maria,' we just couldn't resist. We grabbed our ice cream cones and headed back to the park to sit down, relax and enjoy our cones and WTRMLN WTR.
Our little adventure made for quite an enjoyable afternoon and most definitely made me realize that Little Havana is yet another wonderful Miami neighborhood - especially for some ice cream and people watching.
