This blue Naven dress is probably one of the few dresses I've ever cried over. I remember seeing it inside of this store called Big Drop and I fell in love. It was a bit expensive, especially for a dress I didn't need. For months I thought about this dress and how much I wanted it. When I came home for winter break after my freshman year of college I got a part time job at a cute local boutique. Perks of working in retail are the discounts, so I worked hard but spent all my money in the store, anyways. One day we received a huge shipment of Naven dresses and guess what, my dress was in the box. I jumped on the opportunity to have this dress at 30% off. It was finally mine. Now, three years later, I've worn this dress to my school's fashion show, birthday parties and fun photo shoots just for my blog. If you fall in love with a dress or a pair of shoes, be patient! If they are meant to be yours, trust me, you will find a way to own them.
Gwyneth Paltrow is who I want to be when I grow up. I cannot believe how amazing she looks, all the time. One of my favorite things about her is that she is a major risk taker when it comes to fashion on the red carpet. She strutted her stuff down a major red carpet in the Tom Ford cape gown and basically made fashion history - and every best dressed list. When she's not being glamorous, she looks chic and put together on the street running errands or going to press events. Gwyneth is my style crush because she is the epitome of classic style. We've watched her grow and evolve in Hollywood and she still remains super relevant and an A list celebrity after many years as an actress and in the spotlight. She knows how to steal a scene and wear designer clothing. Gwyneth is awesome in every way possible and I will be crushing on her forever.

It has been crazy here at school now that we are reaching the end of midterms. I may go to an art school, but the work is just as hard and very time consuming. So, now that I am finally back on track with my work load I promise to not lack in posting ever again! These photos I'm featuring are from a fun shoot with Grace Ann. We took advantage of the beauty of Savannah and went down my favorite street - Jones St. It is so beautiful, filled with awesome architecture and gorgeous plants and flowers. My dress is a new favorite from Tobi and my bag is an amazing find from Etsy!
Who doesn't love Rachel Bilson? We all fell in love with her when she was Summer on The O.C. Now, she's acting in Hart of Dixie and is cuter than ever. Rachel's always been a favorite celebrity of mine and her outfits on the street and on the red carpet have inspired my shopping habits. Her effortless way of always looking chic and put together is what I love about her most. Rachel is the girl next door with an edgy touch, whether she adds little black boots or a fun hair-do, she knows how to spice up her look all while keeping it safe and sophisticated. Rachel Bilson is my new girl crush and style crush and it's so easy to see why!
When it comes to a great, classic shoe, nothing compares to the stiletto. Add a few chains to that stiletto and you've got a sexy and fun update to a timeless high heel. I am crushing hard on this hardware trend because it adds just the right amount of edge to your little black shoes. As I've mentioned before, metallics are my favorite, so adding a metal chain to my favorite accessory is something I am obsessing over.

Lately, I've been really stepping out of my comfort zone of dark colors and wearing bright dresses. It's something I'm getting use to, pinks and purples and even some turquoise, however, I am really loving the fun and flirty vibe cute little spring dresses bring to my look. With dark hair and pale skin, a pop of color seems to complement me. Of course, I could never live without accessories, so my gold necklace and arm candy allowed me to feel like I was still dressing like my self. If you're like me, find a way to step out of your box. Maybe you'll start by changing your manicure or your makeup, but whatever you do it's totally going to work. It's a new season which means change. Find those hidden gems in your closet and rock them the next time you go out.
Now that it is finally spring time we're going to see much more color. On one of the first warmer days back in Savannah, I decided to pull out one of my favorite dresses. This hot pink Alice + Olivia dress was found on sale at Bloomingdales back in high school. I ended up saving it for a special occasion, Prom. Obviously, I was one of the few girls daring enough to wear a short dress, but I thought it was okay because it wasn't my actual prom, just a friend's. This was back in eleventh grade and now, years later, this dress is being put to more casual use. Of course, I still rock it to nice events with a killer pair of heels, but the color is too great to not show off during the day. Paired here with my favorite Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane boots, I've managed to take this nice cocktail dress and turn it into a fun "lunch with the girls" day dress. Always take risks with your clothing, if you love something in your closet, let it live a life of excitement - day or night.
She's the chic as hell french fashion blogger and other half of The Sartorialist. Garance Dore has quickly become an idol of mine, with her fun videos and blog posts. This trendy woman has stolen my heart with her sweet attitude and insane sense of style. In a simple blazer or a khaki skirt, Garance knows how to steal the spotlight all while being the girl next door every one loves. Just by looking at the pictures above you can easily see why I have such a style crush on Ms. Dore. With a camera in one hand and a Wang bag in the other, Garance Dore is finding her way into our computers, closets and our hearts.

I really love metallics. Whether it's a bronze nail polish color, a silver necklace or a little gold dress, I believe chrome is the best way to stand out and be bold. I found this dress at a discount store and it caught my eye because it reminded me of Halston dresses. Flowy and comfortable, this dress is one of my new favorites for Spring. The best thing about it is that it can be worn during the day casually or at night to a party with amazing heels. When you go shopping, look for things a little out of your element. A mistake most of us make is buying things we already own. We stick to our comfort zone of little black dresses or cute tank tops, the only difference being the color or length. I usually wear black, so this gold number is something new for my personal style. It's the perfect change that will help me transition my style into spring!
A good t-strap heel is something every girl should have. As you guys already know, I am so into boots, however, 6in heels are a favorite of mine as well. I'm always looking for the newest trends and styles, making sure I'm not repeating my purchases and buying the same type of shoe in a different color. The t-strap shoe comes in so many color ways, heel sizes and even shapes. It's a new take on the classic mary jane or the wedge. No matter what your comfort shoe zone may be, there's a t-strap shoe waiting to be yours. Spring is finally here and your new favorite shoe is going to look amazing in this perfect weather.
