I've gone back to the dark side, at least for today. I found this awesome sweater at Forever 21 and could not resist. I had super long days of classes this quarter and sometimes a pair of leggings and a sweater are the only things I feel like wearing. Because I love fall so much, adding plaid details to my wardrobe was something I felt necessary. I took my black on black look a little further with my darkest lipstick and chunky boots. I've officially completed the Fall 2013 quarter at SCAD and I'm headed to Miami for a long winter break. This outfit was the perfect "last day of classes look", giving me the ultimate combination of style and comfort.
When anyone does a photo shoot with Nikki Krecicki, you can always expect an adventure. I admire Nikki on so many levels, her sense of creativity shows in every single one of her editorials and she is a seriously talented photographer. A few days ago I asked Nikki to shoot for my blog, I wanted to explore the new SCAD Fashion Marketing building and take my blog to a whole new level. The pictures below are less outfit oriented and more focused on the insane environment the FASM majors get to work in every day.
I have a serious sweet tooth and if you do too I am about to make you very hungry. My friend Elle happens to bake really awesome and delicious treats. I grew up with Elle and we have been friends for a while, so when she introduced Sugarbelle I could not have been more excited. Sugarbelle is the company Elle founded dedicated to delicious treats including cupcakes, donuts, cookies and basically any type of dessert that makes your mouth water. This is not your regular bakery, Elle gets super creative with her products and that is why I am so obsessed.
I had the opportunity to (virtually) sit down with Elle and get the scoop on who she is, what she loves and all the details on the perfection that is Sugarbelle! I apologize in advance for ruining your diets, but trust me, Sugarbelle is SO worth it.
ES: Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live, where do you go to school and what's your major?
EL: I live in paradise, otherwise known as Miami Beach! I studied hospitality at Johnson & Wales.
ES: How did Sugarbelle begin?
I've been baking and cooking all my life. I love entertaining and feeding people and eventually created a demand for my cupcakes among my family and friends. And from that, Sugarbelle was born!
ES: Where do you get your amazing ideas for recipes? Your Instagram is my favorite one to follow because of the colorful and creative desserts you are always sharing!
So many things inspire my cupcake flavors, from other bakeries that I follow on Instagram to seasonal flavors. I was craving a chai tea latte for the longest time and recently I just decided to satisfy my craving in the form of a delicious white chocolate brown butter chai cupcake!!
ES: You're also really stylish. Where are your favorite places to shop?!
Thank you! My number one go-to store is always Zara but I just recently discovered Shoptiques.com and it's amazing because I can shop cute little boutiques all over the world without even leaving my house!
ES: Favorite pair of shoes/shoe designer?!
Favorite pair of shoes??!! That's like asking me to pick a favorite cupcake flavor! Right now I'm really into Sophia Webster because her designs are super fun and quirky.
ES: Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?!
In five years I see myself in a sweet little Sugarbelle shop in a super cool location working on branding and expansion!!! And hopefully owning a few pairs of Sophia Webster's!
If you'll be in Miami for Art Basel 2013, Elle is going to be hosting a pop-up shop for Sugarbelle at the Vagabond Motel December 7th all day long! Be sure to check it out and don't forget to follow Sugarbelle!

When it comes to comfort I believe the bigger the better. I love buying most of my clothing a size larger, sweaters, t-shirts and even dresses if it works with the style. This ASOS dress is basically what my comfort dreams are made of…it's huge! I know this doesn't seem sexy or elegant, but the cut-out shoulder and shorter length balance out the baggy elements. Paired with my all time favorite boots and a great statement necklace, this tent-like dress is my new best friend. If you're looking for easy to wear pieces to add to your wardrobe, head over to ASOS and search for 'smock dresses.' You'll find way too many amazing, fashion-forward baggy styles, perfect for a lunch date with your girlfriends or even a casual night out.
Dressing up is always fun, especially when you barely have to put any effort into it!
I went to the beach yesterday to take a break from finals and relax with Nikki. Tybee Island was completely empty, which was awesome and the weather could not have been more perfect.
I've been saving this dress for a few weeks, it's a nice change from my usual go-to outfit choices and obviously it's from SHOPgrl. The nautical blue and white color blocking made for the perfect sand dune themed photo shoot. Paired with some Shoe Cult booties and a great black bag, this dress gave me the perfect combination of style and comfort. I know that most of the world is experiencing colder temperatures and snowfall, so if my casual beach look isn't exactly practical for you SHOPgrl offers tons of amazing items to add to your winter wardrobe!

I don't think I can get any more obsessed with fall weather in Savannah. I really love my winter wardrobe but a great dress will always beat a pair of leggings or pants. This red rose dress is officially my new favorite fall piece. I watched it sell out on ASOS when Refinery29 did a piece on the '15 Long-Sleeved Dresses to Slip Into This Fall." I immediately regretted not buying it the second I saw it and took full advantage of the re-stock ASOS surprised me with a few weeks later. I paired my new dress with some comfortable booties and a bag I found on super sale at Zara this summer.
I love the snow and cold air but I have to admit, this 70 degree weather in the middle of November is nothing to complain about. As I finish up my second to last quarter here at SCAD, I know this dress will be just as useful and wearable for my 'winter' break in Miami.
I seriously love the fall, especially in Georgia.
Last weekend my friends and I decided to check out a farm with a corn maze and a pumpkin patch. Being fashion and photography majors, we knew it would be a great opportunity for a photo shoot in a pretty awesome setting. Unfortunately, once we arrived we noticed there were no pumpkin patches are major corn mazes like you see in the movies, but we made the best of the situation and still had a great time. The pictures below are some of my new favorites, we were all a bit dressed up for the farm we ended up on, but at least we knew we could never actually get lost in the maze at the end of the day. Because we live down south, I'm able to wear maxi dresses and light jackets even in November. I'm actually obsessed with my outfit in this post, the dress is from Urban Outfitters found on super sale and my boots are Nasty Gal shoe cult!
My friends look pretty great, too. Katherine, Nikki and Grace Ann all have their own unique and amazing sense of style and I am so happy I get to share it with you on my blog today. Check out their work through the links below.
Take advantage of the fall no matter where you may be living, whether you are in Miami or Colorado, pick a pumpkin, discover a corn maze or just get addicted to a new fall fashion favorite. Happy November!

I know, I know…I'm actually wearing jeans!
For a little over a year I basically banned denim pants, well actually any type of pant, from my wardrobe. I found comfort and happiness in dress form and I got addicted. After starting a new diet and being told by way too many people that I needed to start wearing jeans again, I finally gave in a dug up a pair of J Brands from my closet. I figured my new SHOPgrl sweater deserved to be worn with something other than leggings and I am so happy with the outfit I put together. I am all about being comfortable, however, I do not believe in laziness when it comes to fashion. Jeans usually mean that we got lazy and threw them on as we were running out the door, so I had no choice but to accessorize and throw on a pair of heeled boots and a colorful necklace. I am starting to realize that jeans can be a great addition to any outfit, as long as they are worn properly.
With November finally here I see a lot of denim in my fashion future. There is nothing better than cold weather and the wardrobe that comes along with it.
